The Parkinson’s Fitness Project: Connecting the Dots Between Mind & Body

PD Active

PD Active is a non-profit organization by and for people with Parkinson’s disease in Berkeley, Oakland, and the East Bay, California. Founded more than a decade ago, it has extended its work to a broader community by providing activities and programs to a growing population affected by PD.

Stanford Health Care Neuroscience Wellness Classes

Virtual/online meditation, fitness, and art classes focusing on balance, strength, and relaxation, plus a way to connect with others who have similar experiences.

Classes are FREE and open to the community. Patients and caregivers of all ability levels are welcome.

Davis Phinney Foundation

Since 2004, the Davis Phinney Foundation has brought to life some of the most important programs, research, content, and events for those affected by Parkinson’s. Their community includes people living with Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s care partners, families and friends of those living with Parkinson’s, physicians, and Parkinson’s allied health professionals. Until a cure is found, their focus is helping people live well TODAY by providing education, tools, resources, and inspiration that touch on every aspect of life: physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and financial.
